Current Sermon Series
Throughout the story of God’s People, He not only calls us into covenant relationship, but continues to call us back through opportunities for covenant renewal. Our renewal is not an attempt to earn God’s grace, but to live more fully into the grace we have already received. We will begin our year with a churchwide call to renew our faith and trust in God, and to renew our commitment to partnership in community with one another. Through the great commission and the early pages of the book of Acts, we will unfold our calling to partner in Gospel ministry. This series will bring clarity to the concept of membership as ministry partnership, the unique vision of our church, and the 4 pieces of our strategy: Communion, Community, Calling, and Commission. We will all be challenged to begin or renew our commitment as a ministry partners. Ultimately, we want be a healthy, fruit-bearing, disciple-making church for the glory of God. We know that “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1

Growing
Scripture References: 2 Peter 1:1-11
From Series: "Growing in Grace"
Peter knew firsthand the experience of “falling from grace.” Not in a sense of losing his salvation, but certainly failing to live in a manner worthy of the gospel. In the gospels, we observe him talking when he should have been listening; sleeping when he should have been praying; and denying when he should have been testifying. Yet Peter also knew the experience of being restored by grace. His own experience led him to encourage other believers, through this letter, to believe that through God’s power we have been given everything we need for a godly life (1:3). Growing in grace requires intentional formation, remembering what we have been taught, and resisting beliefs and practices which are unbiblical. Join us in this series as we grow together.
