Scripture References: Proverbs 13:3
From Series: "Wise Words"
A proverb is a short, clever saying that offers some kind of wisdom. The collection of proverbs we have in Scripture is attributed to Solomon, often recognized as the wisest man in the ancient world. While he likely didn't write each line, it’s fair to say it was his collection. Each proverb touches on a common area of life, revealing how to flourish by living according to God’s design. It’s best not to think of a proverb as a law or exact formula, but a description of how life generally works, knowing that in our fallen world things are complicated. In our Wise Words series, we will examine several of the key topics addressed in the collection, seeking to apply this wisdom to our daily lives.
