Sermon Series – P9: Praying Through the Psalms

The Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 ancient Hebrew poems, songs, and prayers that come from different eras in Israel’s history. In P9, we are looking at nine different Psalms that teach us unique aspects of prayer. We hope that both our minds and our hearts will be stirred by the words of the Psalms so that we might develop a more robust and fruitful prayer life.

Scripture References: Ecclesiastes 2:1-11

From Series: "Chasing the Wind"

The book of Ecclesiastes presents two very different human realities. If we live "under the sun” (apart from a relationship with God) our lives will prove meaningless, like "a chasing after the wind" (2:17). On the other hand, if we “Fear God and keep his commands” (12:13) we will discover deep meaning and purpose in every aspect of our lives. In this series we will learn to avoid chasing the wind through pursuing God.
