Finding Hope is a support group for loved ones of addicts. Everyone is welcome to attend! It is an ongoing program, so it is open to new attendees each meeting. If you know of anyone that is in need of a support group like this, please pass this information along. Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:00 PM in The Kirk Library. If you have any questions regarding Finding Hope, contact Jera Holder.

A proverb is a short, clever saying that offers some kind of wisdom. The collection of proverbs we have in Scripture is attributed to Solomon, often recognized as the wisest man in the ancient world. While he likely didn’t write each line, it’s fair to say it was his collection.  Each proverb touches on a common area of life, revealing how to flourish by living according to God’s design. It’s best not to think of a proverb as a law or exact formula, but a description of how life generally works, knowing that in our fallen world things are complicated.  In our Wise Words series, we will examine several of the key topics addressed in the collection, seeking to apply this wisdom to our daily lives.

On Sunday, July 13, we’re excited to host another For Tulsa Sunday! Please note there will be one combined service at 10:30 AM. After the service, we’ll send you out with a grocery list to shop for items that will directly support one of our For Tulsa partner organizations: Christ for Humanity, Family Promise, Hope is Alive, and MEND.

Following the service, you’ll head to the store—either with your family, small group, or friends—to gather the items on your list. Once you’ve shopped, return to The Kirk, where we’ll come together to pack the donated items and enjoy lunch.

There will be tables set up in the Worship Center, with clearly marked signs corresponding to each grocery list. Drop your items at the correct table, and help us assemble care packages for these incredible organizations. The following week, we’ll deliver the packed boxes to our “For Tulsa” partners across the city.

Lunch will be provided and includes hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks. Be sure to wear your For Tulsa or Kirk t-shirt!
