Contestants are required to bring at least 1 quart of their salsa and 1 large bag of chips. Salsa will need to be checked in the Upper Room by 10:30 AM. Awards will be presented at 12:30 PM. Please email questions to Megan Ward at mward@thekirk.com.

Support Group for Loved Ones of Addicts

Finding Hope Support Group

Finding Hope is a support group for loved ones of addicts. Everyone is welcome to attend! It is an ongoing program, so it is open to new attendees each meeting. If you know of anyone that is in need of a support group like this, please pass this information along. Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:00 PM in The Kirk Library. If you have any questions regarding Finding Hope, contact Jera Holder.

Plan to be with us for one or all of our services this Holy Week! Join us for Palm Sunday at 9:00 AM (Traditional) or 10:30 AM (Modern); Maundy Thursday at 6:00 PM (Traditional); Good Friday at 6:00 PM (Modern); and Easter Sunday at 8:00 AM & 9:30 AM (Traditional) or 11:00 AM (Modern).

Current Sermon Series

In the Old Testament, God revealed his identity to Moses as “I AM WHO I AM.” This is what you are to say to the Israelites: “I AM has sent me to you.” (Ex. 3:14) This name or title captures the essence of God as the only non-created, non-contingent being in the universe. All that is derives from God and is dependent upon God. He is the one who was, is, and always will be: The Great I AM. In John’s Gospel, he carefully records seven specific statements of Jesus in which he applies this title to himself. Jesus is unmistakably claiming to be divine, in union with The Great I AM. “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30) In this series, we will look at each of these 7 powerful statements and what they reveal to us about the character and nature of God.

From Series: "Disordered Desires: Seven Deadly Sins"

In the western tradition, our primary approach to discipleship is to treat it as a didactic endeavor; as if being a disciple of Jesus is solely an intellectual project, a matter of acquiring and transferring knowledge. This approach ignores the reality that we are desiring creatures. We all experience the gap between our beliefs and our behavior. What if the key to understanding this gap is recognizing and challenging our disordered desires. What if the way of Jesus involves more than just new thinking, but a reordering of our loves, wants and desires. In this series we will examine some of the most common human struggles, which have become known as the 7 deadly sins. We will seek to understand and transform our battle with these sins by understanding them as disordered desires of the heart.
