Children's Special Needs
Here at the Kirk your children are important to us. There are many areas for children with disabilities to be involved spiritually and socially. That may be on Sunday mornings with our "Special Buds" or Wednesday evenings while parents attend classes, they may also want to be a part of our "Friday Night Owl"s. Whatever program your children are in, you can know they will be loved and cared for.

Special Buds are adults and teenagers from the Kirk that lovingly share their time and faith with children from our congregation with special needs and disabilities. In addition to addressing the special needs of the children, the program also allows the children's parents to attend Sunday School and an 11:00 church service.
Sunday Mornings
Sunday 9:30 am
Individuals of all ages with special needs can either attend Sunday School class or church service with a Buddy (an adult or teenage volunteer from the Kirk) or go into the Special Buds classroom and work one on one with a volunteer at that time.
Sunday 11:00 am
Class is held during the 11:00 am hour each week in for individuals with special needs and disabilities. While the individuals are attending the class, their parents have the opportunity to go to church or Sunday School. A Bible lesson is taught each week and students do a craft, pray and have snacks together. Student to Buddy ratio is one to one. The special needs room (B21) is located on the ground floor and has easy access from the southwest side.
Wednesday Evenings
Childcare Reservations
During the Wednesday night classes from 6:20 until 8:10 p.m. child care is provided for children with special needs while 
their parents attend Wednesday night classes. Please make reservations 5 days in advance. Please email Crystal Fulda to make a reservation.
- Volunteers are greatly needed from 6:20 until 8:10 p.m. to work one on one with kids on Wed. nights while their parents attend Wed. night classes.
Friday Night Owls
This is a fun night for children with special needs and their siblings, designed so parents can have a night out. Parents from our church and the community are invited to drop off their children for a night of activities." Friday Night Owls" is held on the 4th Friday of each month (the exception is November and December which is combined and held the 1st Friday in December). We meet in the Fellowship Hall for movies, video games, crafts, snacks, and more. Times are from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. We ask that you please RSVP 5 days in advance. Please email Crystal Fulda to make a reservation.
- Volunteers are always needed so families outside the Kirk and in the community can be invited.
Friday Night Owls
Friday Night Owls will be held Friday, September 26th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please make reservations with Crystal Fulda here- email her here.
