Just Older Youth (JOY)

Senior adults at the Kirk enjoy spending time together, and connecting in a variety of ways. Come and be a part of the JOY Group, you will Have a JOYous time!

Just Older Youth is the Kirk's ministry for members and friends over age 55. This group meets the third Thursday of the month (except in July and December) in Fellowship Hall from 10:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m with a Bible study led by Jeff Reed, lunch, and diversified programs following. We also have trips around the Tulsa area and beyond as well as exercise & stretching classes.

JOY will not meet in July & August

 

 

JOY Exercise

Fitness + Fun + Fellowship= JOY Exercise Class on Tuesdays & Thursdays
Each class includes:

    • specific, gentle, restorative stretching to improve flexibility
    • focus on improved posture for deeper breathing and greater lung capacity
    • challenging and practicing our balance
    • strengthening the support of major joints and increasing their range of motion
    • working core muscles to help maintain a healthy back

    The JOY Exercise Group is a great class geared toward "Just Older Youth" (Ages 55 and older). Joy Exercise is a great place to get a good workout or just work on stretches together. Be sure and bring your mat and towel and prepare for a strength and toning workout that will keep you in shape and ready for the next JOY event. This class is every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Room.
